Leadership Impact

Betty’s Bio

Is Your Leadership Ready for What’s Next?

Today’s organizations are navigating unprecedented complexity, rapid change, and increasing demands for innovation, collaboration, and human-centered leadership. Yet many leaders find themselves asking:

Are our leaders equipped to navigate complexity, uncertainty, and constant change with confidence, wisdom, and adaptability?

Is our leadership team truly aligned around a shared purpose, or are silos, competing priorities, and reactive decision-making limiting our collective impact?

What becomes possible when leaders grow, organizations strengthen, and people flourish?

These are the questions that have shaped my life’s work.
I believe leadership has the power to transform lives.
Throughout my career, I have been inspired by leaders who create workplaces where people thrive, organizations flourish, and communities are strengthened. That belief has become the foundation of my life’s work—and the vision behind The Human Capital Institute.

For more than twenty-five years, I have partnered with executives, leadership teams, and organizations across Canada and internationally to help them navigate complexity, strengthen leadership capacity, and create meaningful, sustainable change. Whether coaching a senior executive, facilitating a leadership retreat, designing a leadership strategy, or supporting organizational transformation, my purpose remains the same: to develop leaders, strengthen organizations, and advance human flourishing.

My work brings together the perspectives of a leadership consultant, executive and systemic team coach, educator, researcher, and practitioner. I believe impactful leadership blossoms at the intersection of self, systems, and collaborative relationships. When leaders deepen their self-awareness, cultivate meaningful relationships, and develop the capacity to think systemically, they create the conditions for innovation, resilience, and collective flourishing.

This philosophy shapes every aspect of my work—from executive coaching and leadership consulting to systemic team coaching, organizational development, strategic facilitation, and implementing the LEADS in a Caring Environment® framework. My goal is not simply to help leaders solve today’s challenges, but to strengthen their capacity to lead confidently through whatever tomorrow brings.

As a Global Leadership Consultant, Executive and Systemic Team Coach, LEADS Global Associate, Author, Speaker, and Coach Educator, I have had the privilege of partnering with leaders across healthcare, government, higher education, nonprofit organizations, and the private sector. These experiences have reinforced one enduring truth: organizations flourish when leaders intentionally invest in people, relationships, and culture.

I am also passionate about contributing to the leadership profession through teaching, writing, and research. As an author and coach educator, I enjoy translating evidence-informed leadership theory into practical tools that help leaders grow in wisdom, courage, and effectiveness. My doctoral research explored how leaders develop the practical wisdom and adaptive agility needed to thrive in complex and dynamic environments. This work led to the development of the 3A Model of Leader Agility®, an integrative leadership framework that helps leaders cultivate the awareness, alignment, and activation required to navigate complexity with confidence, wisdom, and purpose.

Beyond my professional roles, I am a lifelong learner, a woman of faith, a wife, a mother, and a lover of humanity. My Kenyan heritage, Canadian experience, and the privilege of working with leaders from diverse cultures have profoundly shaped my belief that leadership is ultimately about service, stewardship, and creating environments where every person feels valued, empowered, and able to contribute their unique gifts.

Leadership, to me, is not simply about achieving results. It is about using our influence wisely, serving others with integrity, and creating organizations where people can do their best work while making a meaningful difference in the world.
It is both my privilege and my purpose to walk alongside leaders as they develop the capacity to transform themselves, strengthen their organizations, and create lasting impact in the communities they serve.

Together, we are developing leaders, strengthening organizations, and advancing human flourishing.
